A study of Korean children in one community reported a high prevalence of 2.64%, and has drawn social attention. The prevalence of ASD has been rising the latest Centers for Disease Control survey found a prevalence of one per 59 persons in the USA, and the global prevalence is estimated to be 0.6–1.8%.
